L'ÉmanciPASSION
A hybrid cultural and civic space
Born in the heart of a former 5,000 m² tannery, the Usine de l’Émancipation in Graulhet has been, for over 25 years, the creative hub for the aerial shows of Plasticiens Volants. This place, steeped in history and a witness to the rich industrial heritage of the Occitanie region, is now opening up to new horizons.
Driven by Plasticiens Volants and supported by UsinoTOPIE—an association renowned for its work in puppetry, cultural engineering and local development—this site is transforming into L’ÉmancipaSSion, a hybrid cultural and civic space.
L’ÉmancipaSSion will be much more than a creative space — it is an artistic and social factory in the making.
Our project aims to transform a former industrial site into a dynamic, collaborative cultural hub, where artists, residents, and workers come together to imagine and build collectively.
Starting in September 2025, we plan to offer a space where art, culture, care, education, research, ecology, and civic engagement intersect — a place where companies and artists can develop their work in an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and connection.
