A poetic fable on exclusion and difference

Loosely inspired by Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift, this new creation humorously and satirically addresses our relationship with the "other" and the mechanisms of exclusion. Through a satirical staging, where Gulliver, the articulated giant, becomes the target of all projections, The Stranger - A Journey to Absurdia questions our perception of the other in a world shaped by fear and power.

With a reimagined direction, the show features a lighter and more interactive set design, reducing its helium needs without compromising its visual impact.

Show summary

On an imaginary beach, a White Dove discovers a stranded giant. Initially fascinated, the Lilliputians, influenced by their authoritarian Queen and omnipresent commentator, manipulate the narrative, creating confusion and paranoia in this society governed by the absurd.

When the army captures the Dove, the monumental Gulliver rises and breaks his chains, overturning the symbols of power to free his ally and stop the royal palace fire. In a final flight, he leaves this hostile land, leaving the audience with a crucial question: What if we were the "stranger"?

This performance is aimed at a family audience, with intentions that are unlikely to generate conflicts or crowd movements. The performance takes place without an intermission, and the actor-manipulators of the inflatable structures interact with the audience during the show.
